To use a Loop cut, you can either use the CTRL+R keys in Edit Mode or

the corresponding button from the Toolbar (Figure 3.11).

After pressing either the shortcut key or the button, you have to use a

small sequence of clicks to create and align the Loop cut:

1. Move the mouse cursor over an edge. The cut will occur in a

perpendicular direction from that edge.

2. Left-click once to confirm the direction of the cut

3. Move the cursor again to choose the location of your edge loop

4. Left-click again to set the location

5. To make your new Loop stay in the middle, you can press the ESC

key instead of left-clicking
